Our Story
Tlotlo Mfolwe Incorporated is a consultancy and commodity trading entity registered in South Africa. Over 8 years, TMI has facilitated syndications and business linkages between buyers and sellers of various commodities, building strong relationships across the industry.
For five years, TMI consolidated its resources to focus on chrome transactions, building chrome processing plants and beneficiating chrome ore on a consultancy basis for clients. TMI has acquired a processing plant in Rustenburg where we beneficiate ROM into concentrate and sell to clients from the site.
Currently, our plant has the capacity to produce an average of 1000MT of final product on a weekly basis. It is TMI's immediate objective to enhance output to larger quantities in the nearest future. We source raw material from various mines and dumps located around the Northwest Province.

There is a very limited number of chrome processing plants in the market, making this opportunity very feasible. The available plants don't have capacity to supply the required quantities needed by clients.
Supply-Demand Gap
The demand for chrome is always higher than the supply component. Recently, main mining houses have been retrenching and lowering production levels, resulting in lower supplies and inevitably pushing prices higher.
Raw Material Suppliers
Strategic sourcing and supply chain management
Multiple Mine Sources
Currently, TMI is buying raw material from various mines located 70 to 120km away from the plant. This diversified sourcing strategy ensures consistent supply and reduces dependency on single sources.
Tailings Reprocessing
TMI also buys tailings from other plants and reprocesses them, maximizing resource utilization and contributing to sustainable mining practices.
Exclusive Offtake Agreement
TMI is in the process of finalizing an exclusive offtake with a local community for a dump left by old mining operations. TMI plans to place yellow machines on the dump site to prepare raw material before trucking it to the processing site, ensuring consistency and wide options in feed supplies.
